“   CASSIAN, WHAT EXACTLY ARE WE DOING out here ?   “ curious tone wavers slightly as she searches her fellow jaeger pilot for an answer, petite form shivering as the cold brisk air hits her like an angry wave in the ocean. it’s rare when the warrior found time to go outside at her leisure   ——   much too preoccupied with the necessary work that needed to be completed in the shatterdome. but as she stood there in the stadium outside of the LOCCENT, it never occurred to her how clear the night sky was. ironic, as she knew hong kong was incredibly polluted, but they were far enough from the mainland that the stars were visible above them, twinkling against a shrouded sky. hands would rest against the railing of the stadium, leaning slightly as if wanting to get a closer look. pity that she was confined to the ground with no access to flight. if only she had a way to view them better …
